The Drowsy Chaperone made its debut in 1998 at The Rivoli in Toronto and opened on Broadway on May 1, 2006. The show won 5 Tony Award including Best Book and Best Score and the Drama Desk Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Lyrics and Outstanding Book The show began as a spoof of old musicals written by friends for the wedding of Martin and his wife, Janet. Major productions have been staged in Toronto, Los Angeles, New York, London, and Japan, as well as two North American tours.

Man In Chair Musical theatre aficionado who mourns the end of the Golden Era. His recording of "The Drowsy Chaperone" brings the show to life as he narrates Non Singing
Janet van de Graaff The famous bride, played by rising star Jane Roberts. G3 - Eb (Alto)
Robert Martin The dashing, ever-cheerful groom, played by matinee-idol Percy Hyman C3 - Ab4 (Tenor)
The Drowsy Chaperone Janet's alcoholic confidante, played by well-established stage actress Beatrice Stockwell F3 - D5 (Alto)
George Robert's anxious best man. F3 - Bb4 (Tenor)
Aldolpho European self-proclaimed "ladies man", played by former silent movie star Roman Bartelli A#2 - G4 (Bass/Baritone + great falsetto)
Mrs. Tottendale Wealthy, air-headed host of the wedding. G3 - Db5 (Alto)
Underling Mrs. Tottendale's savvy butler. Ab2 - G4 (Tenor)
Feldzieg Broadway producer, played by Jack Adler. Db3 - Db4 (Bari-tenor)

THE HUDSON MUSIC CLUB PERFORMS DISNEY’S BEAUTY AND THE BEAST: THE BROADWAY MUSICAL

Join The Hudson Music Club for its performance of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, happening at Le Grand Theatre in Vaudreuil (Cité des Jeunes) starting February 28th till March 14th, 2010. Proceeds of the show go towards La Passerelle, a shelter to help victims of domestic violence.

In this beloved tale, we meet a spoiled prince, who has been turned into a Beast after being placed under a spell. Meanwhile, a young Beauty in a nearby village might be the only hope in breaking the spell and setting all those who reside in the castle, free.

The Hudson Music Club is a non-profit organisation, dedicated to producing quality musical entertainment to benefit the community. Through annual productions and events, the Club raises funds for charities for the Hudson/St-Lazare/Vaudreuil area.
